Mon Aug 20 17:21:16 PDT 2001 — In order to properly clean the corrupted mailboxes on mailbox.sonic.net we’ve had to shutdown POP and IMAP services on the box. We will restore services as soon as possible. -Russ, Eli and Kelsey

PacBell is currently working to resolve…

Mon Aug 20 16:51:06 PDT 2001 — PacBell is currently working to resolve ongoing issues with the DSL remote terminal (RT) on Hopper Avenue. Issues with “slow surf” have been affecting some customers in that area for some time now, and PacBell has decided to replace some of the equipment in the vault on Hopper.

Customers on the Hopper/Coffee Park area who are on Sonic.net PVCs in the “157/” range have had some downtime today, and may experience intermittent performance until PacBell gets the new equipment fully tested and deployed. You can find out your PVC by reviewing your latest invoice, or by looking at your services listing in our “Member Tools” area. -Eli, David and Dane

Some add-on email boxes are currently…

Mon Aug 20 15:13:47 PDT 2001 — Some add-on email boxes are currently suffering from minor corruption, and are being repaired. An anti-spam rule we put online this morning caused the initial “From ” line before each email message to be re-written improperly, and this prevents the server from properly delivering the email to you. We are fixing up the “From ” lines now, and if you’re getting an error when checking email for an add-on mailbox, it should clear up shortly. -Eli, Kelsey, Russ and Dane

Our Redback SMS 1800’s ATM interface to…

Wed Aug 15 12:53:42 PDT 2001 — Our Redback SMS 1800’s ATM interface to PacBell went offline, we rebooted the SMS and replaced the pair of coax cables that carry to ATM into the OC12 for good measure. This did not resolve the loss of the ATM circuit and we are currently on the phone to SBC-ASI to expedite the resolution of this problem. Broadlink DSL customers are back online now. When we have an ETA on the fix we will update the MOTD. We expect this issue to be resolved shortly. -Kelsey, Nathan, Eli, Russ & Steve
