San Francisco – Fusion Fiber Intrusive Maintenance

Update 4/21/22 3:38AM: This maintenance is now complete

Friday morning (4/21/22) starting at 2:00AM, a subset of Fusion Fiber customers in San Francisco will experience approximately 45 minutes of downtime while we perform upgrades to equipment serving them. The maintenance window will be 4 hours. Update will be provided upon its completion.

Northern California Core Maintenance

Update 3:25 AM: This work is now complete.

Tonight, 4/18/22, starting at 11:59 PM, we will be performing non-intrusive maintenance on core routing equipment in our northern California network.

We do not expect this work to cause any customer impact. The maintenance window is open until 4am.

Update (3:30AM): Maintenance successfully completed.

Friday morning (4/15/22) starting at 2:00AM, Fusion Fiber customers in East Oakland / Elmhurst will experience approximately 60 minutes of downtime while we perform upgrades to equipment serving them. The maintenance window will be 4 hours. Update will be provided upon its completion.

Update 1:49AM: This maintenance has completed.

Tonight, 4/13/22, starting at 11:59 PM, we will be performing non-intrusive maintenance on core routing equipment in our northern California network.

We do not expect this work to cause any customer impact. The maintenance window is open until 4am.

Systems Maintenance

Update: 11:02PM PST maintenance complete.

Tonight beginning at 10PM PST we will be applying upgrades to multiple systems, including our customer shell cluster.  Any downtime to affected services should be very brief and we expect to complete the maintenance within 2 hours.

Albany Outage

Update: All voice services have been restored.
Today at 12:33PM 4/10/22, we began experiencing issues with one of our routers in Albany. Data and voice services were affected by this outage. Data services have been restored. Most voice services have been restored but we continue to work on a small subset of customers.

Novato – Sonic Business Fiber Intrusive Maintenance

Update (1:30am): Maintenance is complete.

Tuesday – 4/12/2022, beginning at 11:59pm, we will be performing intrusive maintenance affecting Sonic Business Fiber customers in Novato. Expected downtime within the maintenance window is approximately 20 minutes. The maintenance window is 4 hours.

Petaluma – Fusion Fiber Intrusive Maintenance

Update 5:18 AM: This work is now complete.  A hardware failure during our maintenance operation required us to perform a more complex operation than initially planned.  All impacted customers now should be fully operational.  If you believe your circuit to be having any issues, please contact support.

Free Calling to Ukraine

For the month of March Sonic offered our customers free long distance calling to Ukraine, and retroactively reimbursed all calls to Ukraine made in February. We are extending this offer of free long distance calling to Ukraine through the month of April.
