Users need to adjust their settings for this new number soon, as the old number will be going offline in two weeks. The new number is 707-893-0174. As Sonic is not responsible for toll calls, you should call your operator to make sure that this number is local for you before using it. RBL back up.

Sun Sep 20 20:52:56 PDT 1998 — RBL back up. The Realtime Blackhole List (RBL) was down for about 9 hours, so you may notice more spam in your mailbox than usual. The problem: the RBL server failed; that service has been reimplemented on a new server. For more information about the RBL and MAPS, please visit: maps.vix.com/ -Scott

RBL currently down.

Sun Sep 20 14:50:54 PDT 1998 — RBL currently down. The Realtime Blackhole List (RBL) has been down for three hours — and already, we’ve seen a tremendous increase in the amount of spam delivered to our network. Currently, we are investigating the use of MAPS to provide fallback capability in the event that the RBL fails. We may be able to get MAPS online for this situation.
