Beginning tonight at midnight, we will be performing maintenance on our core routing equipment in Palo Alto. No customer impact is expected.

Early this morning, we updated firmware on equipment serving some San Francisco Fusion Fiber subscribers. This new firmware has proven unstable and has caused intermittent service interruptions throughout the day. We have been working with our vendor to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and ensure it does not continue in the future.

Beginning tonight, 4/25/2016 at 11:59pm we will be performing a soft protection switch on a piece of our core voice equipment. Â There should be no impact from this as the equipment is fully redundant, however it is possible that customers may experience a slight blip in voice quality when the protection switch happens. Â Estimated time to complete is 10 minutes.

Beginning tonight at midnight we will be performing software updates on equipment serving a small portion of Fusion and FlexLink cusotmers in San Francisco and San Bruno. Expected downtime is around 20 minutes.
Tonight at approximately 11 PM Sonic will begin upgrades on webmail.sonic.net during which time webmail will be inaccessible. We expect the upgrades to be completed by 12:30 AM. Mail services such as IMAP and POP will not be affected and https://webmail-beta.sonic.net can be used during the maintenance period.
Update: 11:55 PM. The upgrade is completed. See this forum post for details. Please let support know if you encounter any problems.
