Tue Feb 25 15:25:29 PST 1997 — UUNet’s San Jose router rebooted and was offline for about 30 minutes, and our Cisco router automaticly switched everything over to the other connection, meaning no interruption of service. These are the type of things that set Sonic apart from other ISPs – users were unaffected by an upstream outage due to our redundancy and planning. It’s great when these things work out! -Dane

This will mean about a 30 minute outage as our news servers swap roles. We’ve attempted to make this upgrade as seamless as possible — most especially, no changes need be made on network news clients. -Scott
