Ukiah – Fusion/Flexlink Outage

Update 9:51 AM We believe everyone one is back up and working. If you have any issues please contact our support team.

Update 8:20 AM We are still working on installing the new equipment.

Update 6:05 AM Technician is on site with the new equipment and we are working on replacing the failed equipment.

Update 4:12 AM The equipment needs to be replaced. We are configure new equipment and will replace the failed gear.

Some Fusion and Flexlink customers located in Ukiah are currently offline due to what appears to be an equipment failure.  We have a technician onsite and are working towards a resolution.

Los Angeles – Sonic Core Router Maintenance

Update (2:45AM): Maintenance complete.

Tonight, March 23rd, beginning at 11:59 PM we will be performing maintenance on core routing equipment in the LA area. Users may notice some routing instability during this procedure. The maintenance window is 4 hours.

Los Angeles – Sonic Core Router Maintenance

Update(1:30AM): This maintenance is now complete.

Monday, March 6th, starting at 11:59pm, we will be performing maintenance on core equipment in the Los Angeles Sonic network. No customer impact is expected. This maintenance window is 2 hours.

Southern California Core Maintenance

Beginning at 11:59PM on Wednesday, August 24th, we will be carrying-out network upgrades on a portion of our core network in Southern California. Sonic enterprise SSE customers in the region will experience a 1 or 2 hour downtime as we move equipment that is essential to that particular service. All other services may notice some routing changes but should not experience any downtime.

 

Update(9:15PM): A latent misconfiguration causing traffic loss for many subscribers in the Southern California area was exposed around 8PM when draining transit traffic in preparation for this operation. Due to the nature of the traffic loss our network monitoring did not catch the issue immediately. We were able to restore all traffic by 9:05PM and apologize for the inconvenience. We will be taking steps to protect against this type of failure in the future.

Santa Rosa Datacenter Maintenance

Update(5:28AM): This maintenance is complete. Some colo customers experienced a period of routing instability towards a number of network destinations, with the remainder of services unaffected.
Beginning at 2am on Friday, February 19th, we will be making routing adjustments with equipment that is responsible for connecting a majority of our Santa Rosa datacenter to external networks. There will be some customer noticiable network instability over the course of this operation. The maintenance window will be 2 hours.

Sacramento Area Fusion/FlexLink Core Maintenance

Update(5:00AM): This maintenance is now complete.

Beginning Friday, February 12 at 2am, we will be performing maintenance on core routing equipment serving Sacramento area Fusion and FlexLink services. Downtime is expected to be minimal due to some routing changes. The maintenance window is open until 4am.

Legacy DSL Maintenance

Tonight, beginning at 11:59pm, we will be performing maintenance on equipment serving a small portion of legacy DSL customers. Expected downtime is less than 20 minutes.

Core Router Maintenance

Update(3:30AM): Maintenance Complete

Starting at 11:59PM on Wednesday, September 16th, we will be performing maintenance on core routing equipment that serves all legacy DSL customers as well as Fusion/FlexLink customers in the Sacramento area. Expected downtime for this operation is under 30 minutes. The maintenance window is open until 4am.

Core Router Maintenance

Starting at 11:59PM on Monday, August 24th, we will be performing maintenance on core routing equipment that serves all legacy DSL customers as well as Fusion/FlexLink customers in the Sacaramento area. Expected downtime for this operation is under 30 minutes. The maintenance window is open until 4am.

Northern California – Legacy DSL Maintenance

Update(5:17AM): Maintenance complete

Beginning at 11:59PM on 7/15/20 we will be performing maintenance on legacy DSL customers in northern California. The maintenance window for this operation is 6 hours, but we expect less than 2 hours downtime for affected customers.
