Oakland – Fiber Intrusive Maintenance

Thursday 1/25/2024 at 11:59 PM we will be conducting maintenance affecting a small subset of Fiber customers in the Oakland area. Estimated downtime is 45 minutes while we upgrade a piece of equipment. The maintenance window is 3 hours.

Fiber ONT Upgrades

Update: 3:55 AM Maintenance is complete.

Monday morning Nov. 20th at 2:00 AM, we will be pushing updates to a small subset of Sonic fiber customers in Oakland. Expected service interruption will be 5-10 minutes as the ONTs reboot to load their new firmware. The maintenance window is until 4:00 AM. An update to this MOTD will be provided when the work is completed.

SSE Network Outage – Update

We are still waiting on the completion of repairs within our upstream provider’s network and we currently have no ETR.

The emergency migration/backup implemented on Friday appears to be working with a few reports of packet loss that our engineering team is currently looking into.

San Francisco, Sunset – Intrusive Fiber Maintenance

Update(1:43AM) Maintenance is now complete and IPv6 is now available in the Sunset area of SF

Tuesday 11/7/2023 at 11:59 PM we will be conducting maintenance affecting Fiber customers in the Sunset area of San Francisco. Estimated downtime is 30 minutes while we move to an upgraded piece of equipment. The maintenance window is 4 hours.

Oakland – Sonic Fiber Intrusive Maintenance

Update(12:46AM) Maintenance is now complete.

Thursday 9/28/2023 at 11:59PM we will be conducting intrusive maintenance serving a subset of fiber customers in the Oakland area. Due to the nature of the maintenance we cannot provide estimated downtime.  Service is expected to be restored by the end of the 4-hour maintenance window.

San Jose – Residential Fiber Non Intrusive Maintenance

Update(12:12) maintenance is now complete

Wednesday night, July 5th at 11:59 pm we will be updating IPv6 Delegated Prefix Length to /56 in the San Jose area for residential services. This will not interrupt IPv4 internet access, however, your IPv6 addresses will take a hit as they get new bindings. The maintenance window is 2 hours and we expect no disruption to internet access.

Northern California Fiber ONT Upgrades

Update: 4:00AM: This maintenance is now complete.

Tonight at 11:59pm, we will be pushing updates to another subset of Northern California Sonic fiber customers served by AdTran 622V ONTs. Expected service interruption will be 5-10 minutes as the ONTs reboot to load their new firmware. The maintenance window is until 4AM. An update to this MOTD will be provided when the work is completed.

Update: Maintenance was completed at 12:30am 6/27/23
