Sonoma County – Sonic Business Fiber Intrusive Maintenance

Update (Wednesday 5/20): Due to unforeseen circumstances, this maintenance has been postponed to a later date.

Thursday night (5/21) at 11:59 we will be performing maintenance on aggregation equipment serving enterprise Sonic Business Fiber customers throughout Sonoma County.  Expected downtime will be 1 hour. The maintenance window is 4 hours.

Petaluma – Fusion Fiber Maintenance

Update 5/1 1:05AM – This maintenance is now complete.

Update (4/29 8:45PM) – Due to unforeseen circumstances, tonight’s maintenance has been postponed to tomorrow (4/30).

Tomorrow (4/29) at 11:59PM we will be performing maintenance on network equipment serving our Petaluma Fusion Fiber customers.  We do not expect there to be customer impact during our work.  The maintenance window will be until 3:00AM.

San Francisco – Fusion Fiber Emergency Maintenance

Update(12:21) Maintenance is now complete
Tonight (4/23/20), starting at 11:59 PM, a subset of Fusion Fiber customers in the Richmond area of San Francisco will experience a brief service interruption while we perform critical maintenance. The expected downtime is about 15 minutes. The maintenance window will be 2 hours.

Burlingame – Fusion Fiber Maintenance

Update(1:23am) Maintenance is now complete.

Tonight at 11:59PM, we will be performing upgrades on equipment serving residential fiber services in the Sebastopol area. Connectivity will be impacted for all customers during the course of this work. Our maintenance window will commence until 4:00AM, but we expect actual customer downtime of fewer than 15 minutes. An update will be provided on the completion of our work.

Albany and Burlingame – Emergency Fiber Maintenance

Update 12:30AM: Maintenance has been successfully completed.

Tonight (3/13/20) at 11:59 we will be performing emergency maintenance on network hardware serving both Albany and Burlingame area fiber customers.  We do not believe this work will be intrusive, but there is a minimal chance of customer impact. This maintenance window is 3 hours.

San Francisco Area Fiber Outage 2/24/20

Update: At 5pm, core equipment serving impacted areas was brought down for emergency maintenance. Impacted areas now appear to be back online. If you continue to have issues, please powercycle your ONT or Gateway. If problems persist, call support at your earliest convenience.

At 1:30pm, an area in San Francisco experienced a brief power outage which resulted in loss of service. After power was restored, some fiber circuits became non-responsive. Network Engineers are assessing the situation, and we will provide more information here as it becomes available.

Los Angeles – Enterprise SSE Intrusive Maintenance

Update: 2:55 AM The failed optic has been replaced and all customer connectivity restored. Maintenance is now complete for the evening.

Update: 2:20 AM An optic serving a subset of customers appears to have failed during our work. We are dispatching a technician to diagnose and resolve this as quickly as possible.  Further update will be provided upon resolution.

Wednesday, January 29, starting at 11:59pm, we will be performing maintenance on equipment serving our Los Angeles SSE enterprise customers. Expected customer downtime is 60 minutes. This maintenance window is 4 hours in case of unforeseen issues.

Update: 1:00AM – Maintenance successfully completed.  Customer downtime should have been limited to approximately 30 minutes.

Monday, December 16, starting at 11:59pm, we will be performing intrusive maintenance on equipment serving a subset of Business Park Fiber customers in Corporate Center/Northpoint business parks. Affected customers are expected to experience approximately 30 minutes of downtime. This maintenance window is 4 hours.
