Tonight, starting at 11:59PM, we will performing maintenance serving Fusion Fiber customers in the Sebastopol area. Expected down time is about 30 minutes while the equipment reboots. The maintenance window will be 2 hours.

Tonight at 11pm we will be performing updates across a wide array of systems, including mail, webmail, customer databases and hosting, as well as the VPN server.  Downtime on affected systems should be less than a few minutes, and we expect to complete the maintenance within 2 hours.

Tonight at midnight we will be rebooting the OpenVPN server at ovpn.sonic.net for scheduled maintenance. Expected downtime should be on the order of a few minutes. Disconnected clients may need to re-enter credentials after the service comes online.

Sonic Support will be closing early today, 7/30/2018, at 5pm to celebrate our 24th birthday!

Our 24×7 network operations team will remain on call for our Enterprise, dedicated circuit and colocated customers.

Support will return tomorrow, 7/31, to our normal working hours, 8am to 10pm.

Update: An issue that kept user directories from being mounted correctly has been resolved.

This morning shell.sonic.net was briefly unreachable while instability issues were addressed. Shell sessions that were open were closed and the host was unavailable for a few minutes, but at this time it is back online and users are able to connect.

This morning we had to restart the OpenVPN instance running ovpn.sonic.net. The service should have only been unreachable briefly, and it is currently up and running. You may need to re-enter your credentials if your client has not already reconnected.
