San Carlos & San Bruno – Intrusive Maintenance for Fusion Fiber Services

Monday, 04/26/21, starting at 2:00 AM, we will be performing intrusive maintenance affecting residential and small business Fusion Fiber service. Expected telephone and internet access downtime within the maintenance window is approximately 30 min as we perform system upgrades on the affected central office hardware. The maintenance window is 2 hours.

Enterprise Fax Service Outage

Update 3:50 PM Enterprise Fax Services should be back up and running.

We are currently experiencing issues with our enterprise fax services affecting both in and outbound transmissions.

 

 

VPN Server Downtime

Beginning at 11pm tonight the Sonic VPN servers, both production and beta, will be migrated to new infrastructure. This will require brief downtime (roughly 5 minutes) for each server.

Systems Maintenance

Update: Maintenance complete.

On Wednesday April 14th beginning at 10PM we will be applying updates to multiple systems including our VPN servers.  Any downtime should be very brief, and we expect to complete the maintenance within 2 hours.

Northern California Residential Sonic Fiber Intrusive Maintenance

Update: 4/15/21 3:22AM: This maintenance is now complete.

Starting on 4/15/21, at 2:00 AM, small groups of residential Sonic Fiber customers will experience a brief service interruption while we perform maintenance. The expected down time is about 15 minutes while their equipment reboots. The maintenance window will be 4 hours.

Planned Fiber Maintance for Albany

Hello Sonic Customers and Friends!

 

We will be performing a planned Fiber Maintenance on Thursday evening 4/15 at 10 pm and should have customers back up by 6 am on Friday morning 4/16.  We will be replacing a Fiber cable in the area that supports the backbone of our services. During this time both Internet and Phone service will be down. An email will be sent out to those customers affected. If you still have issues after the service window is complete please try power cycling your ONT. If this fails as well we will have Staff on standby at 8am PST. Expect higher then regular hold times .

San Francisco – Intrusive Maintenance for Fusion and FlexLink Copper Services

Update: 7:40 AM connectivity restored.

Update: 6:30 AM during this maintenance a gateway router failed. A small subset of customers still do not have connectivity. We are currently replacing the failed router and hope to restore connectivity ASAP.

Update: Maintenance Postponed for 24 hours, will resume tomorrow 4/15/21 starting at 2:00AM

Northern California Core Emergency Maintenance

Update: 12:35AM – Maintenance successfully completed.

Tonight (4/6) at 11:59PM, we will be performing maintenance on router hardware that is part of our Northern California core. We do not expect this work to cause any customer impact. The maintenance window is open until 4:00AM.

South Oakland – Emergency Residential Fiber Maintenance

Update: 12:55AM – Maintenance successfully completed.

Tonight at 11:59 we will be performing emergency maintenance impacting a subset of Oakland residential Sonic Fiber customers. Expected customer downtime, is 30-60 minutes and the maintenance window is 4 hours. An update will be provided when all work has been completed.
