Sonic Fiber Small Business Maintenance

Update: 1:22 AM Maintenance is completed.

On May 19th 2020 at 11:59 PM for a small subset of customers in San Francisco we will be updating the firmware for Sonic Fiber Small Business optical network terminals. During a 5 hour maintenance window there will be a 2 to 5 minute service interruption while the ONT reboots.

Call Center Phone Migration 5/15

On Friday, 5/15, we will be migrating inbound phone service to our call center starting at 11PM.
This process should take 60-90 minutes; however we expect minimal impact on customers as our call center is closed during this time period.

Forestville and Healdsburg Fusion/Flexlink intrusive maintenance

Update 5/15 2:38am: This maintenance is now complete

 

Tomorrow night 5/14 at 11:59pm we will be performing intrusive maintenance for equipment serving our copper Fusion and Flexlink customers in the Forestville and Healdsburg areas. The maintenance window is 4 hours long. Expected down time in each area is 30 minutes.

Phone Switch Maintenance

Update: 12:33 AM Maintenance is complete.

Maintenance has been postpone until tomorrow 5/14/2020 at 11:59 PM.

Tomorrow night 5/13/2020 at 11:59 PM we will be performing maintenance on our phone switch. No service interruptions are expected as a result of this maintenance.  The window for this maintenance is 4 hours.

Bell, CA – Emergency Maintenance

Update: 1:18AM – This maintenance is now complete.

Tonight at 11:59pm we will be performing emergency intrusive maintenance in the Bell area that will impact Fusion and Flexlink services.  The expected downtime is 30 minutes.  The maintenance window is 2 hours long.

Healdsburg – Fusion/Flexlink Maintenance

Update(12:58AM): Maintenance complete

Beginning at 11:59PM on Thursday, May 14th, we will be performing intrusive maintenance on equipment serving a portion of Fusion and FlexLink customers in Healdsburg. The expected downtime is around 15-30 minutes for this operation.

Petaluma and Rohnert Park Enterprise Fiber Outage

Update: 5/7/2020 3:40pm. All services should be restored. If you are still having issues please contact your Account executive.
Update: 5/7/2020 2:13: Crews are still splicing to restore connectivity, and we hope to reconnect services soon.
Update: 5/7/2020 12:40: We will be shooting for a 6pm ETR but are shooting to try to get it done by 4pm. An update on an exact ETR will be posted once we have that information
Update: 5/7/2020 11:02: Fiber pull is complete across the freeway and lashing is done.  Splicing should start within 30min. 
Update 5/7/20 9:56AM: Work to replace the damaged fiber cable that runs across Highway 101 is on-going. Splicing is expected to begin around noon, at which point services will begin to come up. ETR for all service restoration is 4PM.
Update 5/7/20 3:33AM: ETR is by 6PM today.
Update 5/7/20 2:16AM: Initial investigations show significant fiber damage near E Washington St and Hwy 101. No ETR yet.
Update 5/7/20 1:01AM: There’s a suspected fiber cut and our crews are investigating on-site.

Today at 5/6/20 10:27 PM, we began experiencing network connectivity issues to a subset of enterprise fiber users in Petaluma and Rohnert Park. We are working to restore connectivity as quickly as possible and will update as more details become available.

Northern California Network Edge Maintenance

Update 5/8 12:18AM: – This maintenance is now complete.

Tomorrow night, May 7th, starting at 11:59pm, we will be performing maintenance on network edge equipment serving the Northern California Sonic network. No impact is expected. The maintenance window is 2 hours.
