VPN Server rebooted

Today at 10:50am our VPN server was rebooted in error.  All services have been restored, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

System Maintenance

Update: Maintenance complete.

Tomorrow, March 23rd, beginning at 10 PM we will be applying upgrades to multiple systems, including our customer VPN server.  Any down time should be very brief, and we expect to complete the maintenance within 2 hours.

SF Sunset District – Fusion Fiber Maintenance

Update 1:40AM : This maintenance is now complete.

On 3/23/2021 at 11:59PM, we will be performing maintenance on hardware serving Fusion Fiber customers in the SF Sunset District. We expect this work to be non-intrusive to customer traffic. The maintenance window is 4 hours.

Northern California Fusion Fiber Intrusive Maintenance

Update 3/23/21 3:31AM : This maintenance is now complete.

Tomorrow night (3/23/21), starting at 2:00 AM, small groups of Fusion fiber customers will experience a brief service interruption while we perform maintenance. The expected down time is about 15 minutes while their equipment reboots. The maintenance window will be 4 hours.

San Francisco – Fusion Fiber Intrusive Maintenance

Update 3/19/21 3:05AM: This work is now complete

Tomorrow night (3/19/21), starting at 2:00 AM, a small subset of customers in the San Francisco area will experience a brief service interruption while we perform some maintenance. The expected down time is about 15 minutes. The maintenance window will be 4 hours.

Customer Reachability Issue

Update – 12:22PM: If you requested a callback from Technical Support during the outage, the outage has since been resolved, and all pending callbacks have been expunged. If you are continuing to experience issues, please give technical support a call at your earliest convenience.

Update – 11:40AM: We believe a DNS issue has been identified and resolved.  Customer connectivity should be restored network wide.

As of around 11AM, we began receiving reports from customers of network connectivity issues on their circuits.  We are currently investigating the scope and cause of this problem and will update shortly when we know more.

Update: 3:35:am. This maintenance is complete.

Thursday, 3/18/2021, starting at 2:00 AM, we will be performing intrusive maintenance affecting Fusion and FlexLink copper customers in Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Cotati, Occidental, Guerneville, Fort Bragg. Expected down time within the maintenance window is approximately 30 min. The maintenance window is 2 hours.

Update 3:15am – This maintenance has been successfully completed.

On 3/16/2021 at 11:59PM, we will be performing maintenance on hardware serving Fusion Fiber customers in Berkeley. We expect this work to be non-intrusive to customer traffic. The maintenance window is 4 hours.

Service issues in East Bay 03-15-2021

Update – 1:40pm:

The outage has been cleared, and connectivity should be restored. If you continue to experience any issues, please give our support team a call at your earliest convenience.

 

We are experiencing service issues that are impacting our East Bay fiber users. We’re looking into the problem and are working to resolve it as soon as possible. We will update this post as we get more information and an ETR.

 

 

Sonic Support Outage 3/11/2021

We experienced a short outage where calls to technical support did not get through. We believe the issue is resolved as of 8:23am.
