Fusion Voice Service Update: Los Angeles, Sacramento, East Bay, Oakland, Kern County, Tulare County, and Santa Barbara County

Due to changing geographic area code overlays, we will be updating our Fusion Voice Service. On 4/22/2020 at 2pm, our voice service platform will be updated to require 10-digit dialing in the following area codes:

213 – Los Angeles

279 – Sacramento

916 – Sacramento

341 – East Bay

510 – Oakland

661 – Kern County, Tulare County, Santa Barbara County

If you have any stored numbers (speed dial, etc..) please remember to update these to include the intended area code at your earliest convenience.

Note: Three digit and emergency service numbers, such as 911, do not require an area code.

SOMA SF – Fusion/Flexlink Emergency Maintenance

Update: 12:25AM All work has been successfully completed for the night.

Tonight (4/13/20) at 11:59pm, we are performing emergency maintenance on network hardware serving Fusion and Flexlink copper customers in the SOMA area of San Francisco.  Expected downtime is 15 minutes.  An update will be provided when our work is complete.

Burlingame – Fusion Fiber Maintenance

Update(1:23am) Maintenance is now complete.

Tonight at 11:59PM, we will be performing upgrades on equipment serving residential fiber services in the Sebastopol area. Connectivity will be impacted for all customers during the course of this work. Our maintenance window will commence until 4:00AM, but we expect actual customer downtime of fewer than 15 minutes. An update will be provided on the completion of our work.

Albany and Burlingame – Emergency Fiber Maintenance

Update 12:30AM: Maintenance has been successfully completed.

Tonight (3/13/20) at 11:59 we will be performing emergency maintenance on network hardware serving both Albany and Burlingame area fiber customers.  We do not believe this work will be intrusive, but there is a minimal chance of customer impact. This maintenance window is 3 hours.

Sacramento Emergency Fiber Maintenance

Tonight, beginning at about 9pm, a vendor of ours will be performing emergency maintenance on outside plant that provides connectivity for our network in the Sacramento and surrounding area for both legacy DSL and Fusion/FlexLink services. They expect the downtime to be around 30 minutes within the 9 hour maintenance window.

San Francisco – Fusion and Flexlink Intrusive Maintenance

Update 12:11AM: Maintenance has been successfully completed.

Tonight 02/20/2020 at 11:59pm we will be rebooting a device serving a small subset of Fusion and Flexlink customers in the San Francisco area.  The expected downtime is 10 minutes with a maintenance window of 4 hours.

Brentwood Service Outage

At 1:18pm, our network engineering team became aware of voice issues impacting fiber customers in the Brentwood area. As of 4:58pm, data service became impacted as well. We are currently working to resolve these issues and will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Los Angeles – Sonic Core Router Intrusive Maintenance

Update 2:05AM: Maintenance has been successfully completed for the night.

Tuesday, February 11, starting at 11:59pm, we will be performing maintenance on core equipment serving the Los Angeles Sonic network. Brief customer connectivity interruptions may occur during this work, but minimal impact is expected. This maintenance window is 4 hours.

Update (12:43am) Maintenance was completed at 12:20am

Tomorrow, (1/8/2020) at 11:59PM, we will be performing upgrades on equipment serving residential and enterprise fiber services in the Sebastopol area. Connectivity will be impacted for all customers during the course of this work. Our maintenance window will commence until 4:00AM, but we expect actual customer downtime of fewer than 15 minutes. An update will be provided on the completion of our work.

San Jose – Emergency Intrusive Maintenance

Update(3:33am) Service is now restored

Update(1:32am) – Expected ETR is 1hour 30 minutes form now.

Update(12:22am) – Due to complications some customers in San Jose lost service.  We are working on restoring equipment.  We will update when we have an ETR

Tonight at 11:59pm we will be performing emergency intrusive maintenance in the San Jose area that will impact Fusion and Flexlink services.  The expected downtime is 15 minutes while equipment reboots.  The maintenance window is 2 hours long.
