LA Area Legacy DSL DHCP Outage

A DHCP server has failed that serves a subset of legacy dsl customers in the LA area. We are currently working on re-routing its DHCP traffic to a backup server.

Update: Traffic has been re-routed and affected customers should be receiving new leases at this point.

Upstream routing issue

At about 3:25PM today we detected a routing issue with an upstream provider that was causing network reachability issues for our users. We have rerouted around the issue and are closely monitoring the situation.  As of 3:35PM all connectivity should be restored.

Legacy DSL Router Maintenance

Tonight, at 11:59 PM, we will be performing maintenance on routers that service legacy DSL customers in the bay area. Downtime is expected to be less than 10 minutes.

Update: Maintenance was completed successfully on all customer servicing equipment. Downtime was less than 10 minutes.

Legacy DSL ATM Issue

A failing ATM port was identified in our network earlier this morning. This port caused a couple of brief outages for a small subset of customers in the bay area. All affected circuits have now been moved off the failing port.

Emergency Router Maintenance

Tonight, November 24th at 11:59 PM, we will be performing emergency maintenance on routers that service Fusion and FlexLink customers in a subset of  both San Jose and Los Altos areas. Downtime is expected to be less than 15 minutes.

Update: The maintenance was completed successfully. Affected customers were down for less than 10 minutes.

Legacy DSL DHCP outage – L.A. Area

We have identified and repaired an issue that caused DHCP failures for a subset of DSL customers in the L.A. area. If you have any further trouble with your DSL connection please contact our support department as usual.

Switch Failure

Today, at 11:37AM, one of our atm switches serving FRATM and Business-T customers experienced a software failure and rebooted. As of 11:48AM the switch is back online and working normally. We are currently investigating the cause of the failure.

Tonight, October 1st, starting at 11:59PM, we will be performing maintenance on routers that serve Business-T and FRATM customers in Northern and Southern California. Expected downtime is less than 10 minutes.

Tonight, September 18th, starting at 11:59PM, we will be performing maintenance on equipment serving legacy dsl customers in the Sacramento area. Expected downtime is less than 15 minutes.

Emergency Router Maintenace

Today, September 17, at 5:22PM, a blade in one of our core routers stopped passing traffic. All traffic immediately switched to redundant links, however Fusion/FlexLink voice customers may have experienced a dropped call.

Update: We will be performing emergency maintenance on one of our core routers tonight, September 17th, at midnight. We do not expect any customer impact as a result of this operation.

Update 2: We have replaced the suspected failing blade. There was no impact to customer voice calls.
