Tonight at approximately 11 PM Sonic will begin upgrades on webmail.sonic.net during which time webmail will be inaccessible. We expect the upgrades to be completed by 12:30 AM. Mail services such as IMAP and POP will not be affected and https://webmail-beta.sonic.net can be used during the maintenance period.
Update: 11:55 PM. The upgrade is completed. See this forum post for details. Please let support know if you encounter any problems.

System Operations will be performing updates tonight starting at 11:59pm. The following services may be temporarily unreachable for a few minutes as servers are rebooted:

Tonight, May 11th, at 11:59pm, Operations staff will be performing minor work on the server cluster which runs the Forums, Member Tools and Webmail. These sites may be unavailable for a short period as each server is taken offline in turn. We expect the work to take no more than 1 hour.

Tonight at 11:59pm we will be preforming updates on several system clusters. Â Impacted services include Member Tools, Webmail, mySQL databases, and customer sites. The downtime for each system is expected to be very brief.

System Operations
Tonight, between approximately 7:50p and 8:20p, webmail was unavailable for half of our customers. Operations has identified a database configuration error as the root cause and is taking steps to ensure the same failure will not happen again.

Tonight, July 18th, from 11pm – 11:59pm, the System Operations group will be performing software upgrades on several servers.
