Jasper Building Outage

We are currently experiencing an issue affecting fiber customers located within the Jasper building in San Francisco. We have dispatched a technician to investigate on-site. We will update this message when we have more information.

Update (15:00): This issue has been resolved and service to customers has been restored. There was a power outage at the Jasper building. As soon as that outage was cleared Sonic services were restored.

East Bay – Fusion and FlexLink Intrusive Maintenance

Tonight, starting at 11:59 PM, we will be performing intrusive maintenance affecting a subset of Fusion and FlexLink customers in the East Bay. Expected down time is approximately 30 minutes. The maintenance window will be from midnight to 4 AM.

Update 4:20 AM: The maintenance is now complete. A subset of customers in Albany and Oakland are down due to unforeseen issue’s. We are working to restore connectivity as quickly as possible.

SMS Support Disruption

Sonic’s SMS support system is currently undergoing an unplanned outage. We are investigating the problem and will update here with updates.

Update: SMS support services have been restored. We have identified the root cause and are taking steps to avoid such occurrences in the future.

North Bay – Fusion and Flexlink Intrusive Maintenance

Tonight, starting at 11:59PM, we will be performing intrusive maintenance affecting a subset of Fusion and FlexLink customers in the North Bay. Expected down time is approximately 30 minutes. The maintenance window is 6 hours.

Update: The maintenance has been completed. However, a gateway router serving a subset of customers in the San Rafael area has become unresponsive. We’re currently working on resolving the issue. The ETR is 8:00am. We’ll update this post once we have more information.

Update 7:43am: The San Rafael router has been restored.

OpenVPN Maintenance

Update: Maintenance is complete.

This evening at 11:59pm the OpenVPN service at ovpn.sonic.net will be briefly interrupted for maintenance. Downtime is expected to last only a few minutes, and afterwards users may need to manually reconnect.

Tonight, starting at 11:59PM, customers in Cloverdale and part of Santa Rosa will experience a brief service interruption while we perform some maintenance. Expected down time is about 15 minutes while the equipment reboots. The maintenance window will be 2 hours.

Tonight at 11pm we will be performing updates across a wide array of systems, including mail, webmail, and hosting.  Downtime on affected systems should be only a few minutes, and we expect to complete the maintenance within 2 hours.

Sebastopol – Fusion Fiber Intrusive Maintenance

Tonight, starting at 11:59PM, we will performing maintenance serving Fusion Fiber customers in the Sebastopol area. Expected down time is about 30 minutes while the equipment reboots. The maintenance window will be 2 hours.

OpenVPN Scheduled Maintenance

Update: Maintenance complete.

 

Tonight at midnight we will be rebooting the OpenVPN server at ovpn.sonic.net for scheduled maintenance. Expected downtime should be on the order of a few minutes. Disconnected clients may need to re-enter credentials after the service comes online.
