San Francisco Collocation Power Maintenance

This Saturday (6/9) starting at 5AM, one of the San Francisco data centers we collocate equipment, will be performing a planned power maintenance. Although we have been assured by the colocation provider this work will be non-impactful, we have taken additional preparations to verify redundancy on all critical hardware, and will have a network engineer on site as a fail-safe.  The maintenance window officially extends until 6PM, and we will provide update when all work is completed.

(Update 8:12am) – We had a Power supply fail in a piece of our equipment during the first phase of the datacenter power maintenance.  We quickly swapped out the cabling to restore the unit.  Legacy DSL customers would have been impacted but service should now be restored.

Legacy DSL Maintenance – Northern California

Update (12:30AM): Maintenance complete.

Beginning tonight at midnight we will be performing maintenance on equipment serving legacyDSL customers in Northern California. Expected downtime is around 30 minutes for affected customers.

Core Router Maintenance

Update (3:40AM): Maintenance complete.

Beginning at 11:00PM on Monday December 11 we will be performing maintenance on some core routing infrastructure. This equipment primarly services legacy DSL customers in Northern California. There is no expected downtime from this operation, however customers may notice some routing changes during the maintenance window.

Beginning tonight at midnight we will be performing maintenance on core routing equipment that primarily serves legacy DSL customers. We do not expect any downtime as a result of this operation. Customers may notice brief routing interruptions and changes during the maintenance window.

Legacy DSL Maintenance

Update: This maintenance has been rescheduled for Monday, the 13th starting at 11pm.

Update: This maintenance has been postponed to a future date.

Beginning tonight at midnight we will be performing intrusive maintenance on equipment serving legacy DSL customers in the greater bay area. The maintenance window for this operation is 6 hours.

Los Angeles POP Maintenance

Update (7/26 10:00PM): All upgrades went smoothly and are fully completed.

 

During today and tomorrow (7/25-7/26), we are performing work in our primary Los Angeles data-center to upgrade network and systems infrastructure.  We do not expect any service interruptions, beyond a short planned midnight service migration which will be announced shortly.

Legacy DSL Maintenance

Update (11:07am): We have discovered a provisioning issue after last night’s maintenance which resulted in the interruption if service for some legacy DSL customers. After resolving this issue services for all affected customers should be restored.

Update (9:56AM): Our engineering team is currently investigating a subset of legacy DSL customers in the Northern California area that lost connectivity after last nights maintenance. At this time we are investigate the cause of the outage. This notice will be updated as we continue our investigation.

Update(4:00AM): Maintenance complete

Beginning tonight at midnight we will be doing maintenance on equipment serving legacy DSL customers in Northern California. This maintenance window is open until 5am however individual circuit downtime shouldn’t be more than an hour or so.
