Albany Area – Fusion Fiber Outage

Network Engineering is currently investigating an outage affecting customers in Albany/Kensington. An update to this post will occur when more details or a significant change emerges.

UPDATE: Upon further investigation, there appears to be a large scale power outage in the area. We are awaiting resolution of this, before determining if any further steps need to be taken.

Richmond District – Fiber Maintenance

Update(12:45am) Maintenance successfully completed.

Tonight (9/26/19) at 11:59PM, we will be performing upgrades on equipment serving residential and enterprise fiber customers in the Richmond district of San Francisco. Connectivity will be impacted for a subset of customers during the course of this work. Our maintenance window will commence until 4:00AM, but we expect actual customer downtime of less than 60 minutes. An update will be provided on the completion of our work.

Fusion/FlexLink DSL Intrusive Maintenance (Sunnyvale, CA)

UPDATE: This maintenance is being postponed until Monday, September 30.

 

Thursday, September 26, 2019, beginning at 11pm we will be performing routine system maintenance on copper based services for a very small subset of customers in Sunnyvale.

Expected impact is 2-5 minutes of connectivity interruptions that will resolve automatically.

Tomorrow (9/26) at 8:00 PM we will performing intrusive upgrades on our faxback server, which provides faxes for our Enterprise customers. Downtime is expected to be about an hour.

Brentwood – Fusion Fiber Maintenance

Tonight (9/25/19) at 11:59PM, we will be performing upgrades on equipment serving residential and enterprise fiber customers in the Brentwood area. Connectivity will be impacted for all customers during the course of this work. Our maintenance window will commence until 4:00AM, but we expect actual customer downtime of fewer than 30 minutes. An update will be provided on the completion of our work.

System Maintenance

Maintenance complete.

Update: This maintenance has been rescheduled for September 24th at 11pm.

Tonight beginning at 11pm we will be applying updates to various systems including mail and DNS.  We expect any disruption to services to be brief and to complete the maintenance within 2 hours.

Sonic Telecom Emergency Router Maintenance

Update(1:43am): Maintenance complete, however the problems exhibited by this piece of equipment have not been fully resolved. All service affecting symptoms have been mitigated via a temporary workaround while we work with our hardware vendor to find a permanent solution.

Tonight, September 19, starting at 11:59pm, we will be performing a reboot of equipment serving a small set of Business Park Fiber circuits in Santa Rosa, Healdsburg and Petaluma. Expected customer downtime is 20 minutes. This maintenance window is 4 hours.
