Thu Feb 11 20:14:05 PST 1999 — Our new RAID-5 disk system is ready for service in our mysql server (Timber). Since initialization would take far longer than we expected (12 hours!), we pulled the RAID out and initialized it in another computer. Starting at 1am tomorrow (Friday) morning, we’ll be moving databases on Timber to the new hardware RAID system, as well as performing miscellaneous maintenance on the system. Timber should be back in action by 5am. -Scott
