Sat May 15 17:41:57 PDT 1999 — UC Berkeley and the SETI project have launched an exciting collaborative computing effort that you may want to participate in. The SETI@home project harnesses the computing power of hundreds of thousands of Internet connected PCs to do data analysis on radio telescope information. The goal is to find life beyond Earth. The application runs as a screensaver on your PC or Mac, and you can watch a visual representation of the math that it’s doing. To participate, see the website at:
