Tue Jun 17 18:55:18 PDT 1997 — We’ve recently had a number of users set their password the same as their username, and the accounts have been abused by people who have guessed the password. This has lead to service interruption for these users and needless hassle for everyone.
We’d really like all users to change their passwords. You can use ‘passwd’ at the shell, or you can use the new web tool at: www.sonic.net/password/
