Sonic.net now offers IMAP access to customer…

Thu Aug 30 15:23:37 PDT 2007 — Sonic.net now offers IMAP access to customer mailboxes as part of our standard service offering along side POP and Webmail. IMAP mailboxes are a great solution for some users who need seamless accessibility to their mail from more than one computer. We’ve also verified that our IMAP servers work well with Apple’s iPhone. So, imap.sonic.net finally works for incoming mail on my iphone. I have outgoing set up with smtp.sonic.net, which has not worked; so i tried mail.sonic.net, and that doesn’t work either.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

@Karen: if you are trying to connect to mail.sonic.net on port 25 on a connection not provided by Sonic.net (perhaps a public hotspot or through some other ISP), it is possible that that connection is blocking you. Try using an alternate port as described in our mail screenshots at http://sonic.net/support/ss/mail/
